Seasons of Warcraft.
I was wondering today if the cold weather (for most of us) has actually increased the amount that we play World of Warcraft. No one likes being cold, so why not stay in and play everyone’s favourite game? Similarly, do people play WoW less in the summer due to it being warm outside and with there being more ‘real life’ activities to participate in?
I know for a fact that a lot of guilds account for lack of raiders during summer. That’s because a lot of players actually have kids, and when summer and kids combine, the results can be terrible. They actually have to entertain the little punks, instead of sending them off to school and putting them to bed early. Stupid summer!
However, winter is seen as the holiday season, and as I wrote about in a previous blog, there are very few players who have time for WoW in amongst the stress and tinsel.
Perhaps we should just wait for Spring…?
